Indian Beef Patties

List of Ingredients
1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt
1/3 cup chopped -- seeded cucumber
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
2 Tablespoons finely chopped -- seeded fresh jalapeno pepper
1 Tablespoon snipped fresh mint or 1 teaspoon dried -- crushed mint
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon bottled minced garlic or 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
8 ounces lean ground beef -- pork, or turkey
Recipe
For sauce, in a small bowl stir together the yogurt and cucumber. Cover and
refrigerate until ready to serve.
In a medium bowl combine the onion, jalapeno pepper, mint, cumin, garlic,
and salt. Add the ground meat; mix well. Form mixture into two
3/4-inch-thick patties.
Grill over medium heat for 14 to 18 minutes or until patties are done,
turning once. Or broil 3 to 4 inches from the heat for 12 to 14 minutes,
turning once.
Serve the patties topped with sauce.
