    List of Ingredients




    4 slices bacon
    1/4 cup onion, chopped
    1 can mushroom pieces, drained & finely chopped
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 lb. bulk pork sausage
    1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
    1/2 teaspoon salt (omit salt if your parmesan is salted, read labels)
    1/2 teaspoon pepper
    1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic 2 tablespoons steak sauce

    Cook bacon until crispy. Remove bacon & crumble it. Pour off all but 2
    tablespoons drippings
    Sauté onion in bacon drippings until tender; add crumbled bacon and
    mushrooms to skillet; set aside
    In bowl, mix ground beef, ground pork, parmesan, salt (if used) pepper,
    garlic, and steak sauce. Shape into 16 very wide but thin patties. Divide
    bacon mixture over eight patties. Place remaining patties on top, press
    edges tightly to seal
    Grill until well-done (pork sausage in burgers requires thorough cooking)
    Serve on lc buns if available--or serve on a plate with condiments to add
    to the burgers.
