1/2 cup almonds
2 cups water
1 tsp maple syrup
1/2 tsp vanilla
Blend all in a blender, and strain well. The resulting nut pulp should
be strained through a screen or squeezed through a piece of cheese cloth,
to get the maximum milk. Some recomend that you soak the almonds for 4-8 hours
before blending them in a blender.
I like to use 1/4 cup of raw cashews, and 1/4 cup of almonds (I've never soaked
mine, but am going to try it today.) Almonds are high in calcium, cashews add
a creamer texture and make it white like cow's milk.(and taste good too!)
