    6 eggs, slightly beaten
    10 to 12 packets artificial sweetener (or to taste)
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    5 cups cream
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 teaspoon rum extract
    nutmeg

    Recipe



    In a large saucepan, combine the eggs and salt. Stir in the
    cream. Cook over
    low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and
    coats the back of
    the spoon.
    Remove from heat, stir in the artificial sweetener and the
    vanilla. Cool
    slightly. Refrigerate.

    At serving time, pour into punch bowl. Stir in rum or rum
    extract and
    sprinkle with nutmeg.

    Makes approximately 12 to 16 1/2-cup servings.
