    Recipe Introduction

Here is a recipe that our family loves.. You can
substitute some splenda for a part of the agave
nectar but it needs some agave to give it that
"caramelized" taste that is a part of the pie.

    4 tablespoons dark agave syrup
    1/4 cup fructose
    5 packets Splenda
    1 large egg, beaten
1/2 cup nuts (walnuts or pecans or almonds)
    chopped well
    1/2 cup sgww flour
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon cinnamon (if desired)
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1-1/2 cups coarsely chopped apples
Whipped cream (sweetened with Splenda or fructose)

Add agave nectar, Splenda and fructose to beaten
egg. Mix well. Sift flour with baking powder,
cinnamon, and salt. Add to egg mixture. Stir well,
then add apples and nuts and pour into greased pie
tin. Bake at 350° in the lower 1/3 of the oven,
for 25 minutes. Cool and top with whipping cream.
This pie makes its own "crust"
