Omelet a deux

List of Ingredients
3 Tablespoons butter
4 eggs
lightly salt to taste
add pepper to taste
1/2 cup cream or half and half
1/2 cup grated Cheddar cheese
2 Tablespoons chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped mushrooms
4 Tablespoons (1/4 cup) chopped ham (may substitute with
bacon
buds, chopped chicken, steak, etc.)
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 3-inch deep, 8-10
inch across, round baking dish. Beat eggs and stir in salt
and pepper, cream, and cheese, set aside. Using about 2
Tablespoons butter, saute onions, mushrooms, and ham. Pour
into baking dish. Pour egg mixture over onions and
mushrooms mixture. Place in oven and bake 20 minutes.
Check for doneness by inserting a knife in the middle of the
omelet. If juice comes out, then cook longer until the
omelet is fluffy.
