Wash and peel a raw carrot no larger than the top of your plastic milk
container, half gallon, or gallon size. Put the carrot in the container with the milk and the milk will stay fresh 1 to 1-1/2 weeks longer than
expiration date. They say that this is how the US Navy keeps milk fresh and that it really works! I'm going to try it! (might be good if you're going out of town for awhile and have milk still in your fridge so you won't have to throw it out when you get back!)
