    Recipe Introduction

This is an GREAT salad! It gets raves whenever I serve it.
If you can't have olives, omit them.
NOTES : This was the salad I prepared with a complete Cuban meal
    and it was outstanding.

    For the Salad:
1 head Iceberg lettuce -- chopped
    4 medium Tomatoes -- diced
1/2 pound Swiss cheese -- julienned
    6 ounces Ham -- julienned
2/3 cup Pitted Spanish olives -- Somersizers, omit
3 teaspoons Romano cheese -- grated
    1 Lemon -- juiced
    For the Dressing:
1/4 cup White vinegar -- or red wine vinegar
    1 cup Olive oil
    8 cloves Garlic -- minced
2 teaspoons Oregano -- dried, crumbled
    2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
    Salt -- to taste
Freshly ground pepper -- to taste

    For the Salad:
Place the lettuce in a large bowl. Add tomatoes, ham and cheese. Top with
    the Spanish olives.

Pour the dressing on top and add the Romano cheese and the lemon juice.

    For the Dressing:
In a large bowl, combine the white vinegar, olive oil, garlic, crumbled
oregano, and Worcestershire Sauce. Using a hand-held emulsifier or whisk
combine until smooth.. If using a whisk, slowly and gradually add the oil,
    beating continuously until well combined.

Toss all ingredients together and serve on decorative, chilled plates
