    List of Ingredients




    16 ounces lean ground pork sausage
    1 teaspoon garlic powder (My Mom added onion instead--I like the garlic)
    2 tablespoons unsalted butter
    5 cups shredded cabbage (1 medium cabbage)
    1/4 white wine vinegar
    1/4 teaspoon cardamom (may be omitted)
    1 cup sour cream
    pepper -- to taste

    Recipe



    Brown sausage, saving 4 Tablespoons fat.
    Add garlic, cabbage and vinegar.
    Cook on Medium-High until cabbage is almost done. (about 30 minutes or
    longer)
    Add sour cream, cardamom, and pepper, stir well.
    Cook until well heated but do not boil. Serves 4
