    List of Ingredients




    1 stick butter
    1 small onion, chopped
    4 stalks celery, chopped
    1 pint heavy cream (or omit cream and chicken broth and use 2 cups of half
    and half)
    2 cans (6oz each) chopped clams, juice included
    1 cup clam broth
    1 teaspoon chicken bouillon to make 1 cup broth (optional)
    1 teaspoon ground thyme
    2 Tablespoons arrowroot
    Salt and pepper, to taste

    Recipe



    In a medium size sauce pot, add the butter and melt on medium heat and
    sauté` till caramelized. Add the arrowroot, and make a roué and thicken it a
    bit. Stir for 2-3 minutes. Slowly add the heavy cream and stir well, do not
    boil as the cream will burn. Add the chicken broth and lower the heat to a
    med-low setting. Add the clams, clam broth, and season with salt and pepper
    to taste.
