Green Beans - Almond Honey

16 ounces green beans -- fresh or frozen
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup Honeytree's Sugar Free Imitation Honey (17g sugar
alcohols per svg counted as fiber)
1/2 cup slivered almonds -- toasted
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon salt and pepper
To toast almonds, place on cookie sheet and roast at 350 degrees for several
minutes until lightly browned. Do not overbake.
Or, toast almonds in large dry skillet. After toasted, add remaining
ingredients and bring to a boil. Continue boiling 5-10 minutes or until
beans are crisp tender.
