Roasted Green Beans 2

2 1/2 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed, or
2 (16-ounce) package frozen whole green beans
3 Tablespoons slivered almonds
1-1/2 Tablespoons lemon juice
2 Tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
Combine the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Spread the bean mixture in
a 9 X 15-inch non-stick sprayed glass baking pan. Roast at 450 degrees for
15 minutes or until tender and starting to brown, stirring occasionally.
Note: This is a good dish for a company occasion or an outdoor party since
it can be prepared in advance and held, rewarming in a microwave just at
serving time.
