Oven French Toast

3 T. butter
12 slices French bread
3 c. milk
8 eggs, beaten
4 tsp. sugar
¼ tsp. salt
1 T. vanilla
Recipe
Take 1 T. butter to grease a 9x13 inch pan. Place bread in on layer in pan. In a large bowl, combine and mix other ingredients except butter. Pour over bread and dot with remaining butter. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Heat oven to 350. Bake uncovered 40 to 50 minutes. Knife inserted should come out clean when done. Yields:12 servings.
Serve with honey or syrup.
