    Jack in Macaroni Bake

    List of Ingredients




    2 quarts water
    1 tsp. salt
    8 oz. pkg. elbow macaroni
    2 Tbs. butter or margarine
    1/4 cup chopped onion
    1/4 cup chopped sweet red pepper
    2 cups (8 oz) shredded Monterey Jack chese with peppers
    1 can cream of celery soup
    1/2 cup sour cream
    Chili powder


    Recipe



    Bring water and salt to a boil in a large Dutch oven; stir in
    macaroni. Return to a rapid boil, and cook 8-10 minutes or until
    tender; drain. Rinse with cold water; drain. Melt butter in a Dutch
    oven; add onion and red pepper. Cook over medium heat, stirring
    constantly, until crisp-tender. Remove from heat. Stir in cheese,
    soup, and sour cream. Stir in macaroni; spoon into a shallow 2-quart
    casserole. Sprinkle with chili powder. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
    Garnish if desired.
