Macaroni Pie

Crust for a 2-crust pie
1 Egg
1 pound Rigatoni, or any pasta
1 pint Tomato sauce of your choice
1 1/2 cups Parmesan cheese, grated
3 tablespoons Butter
Milk, to brush top crust
Recipe
Make your pie crust recipe, substituting the egg for part of the water. Line a 3 quart baking dish or casserole with 3/4 of the pastry. In the meantime cook macaroni in boiling salted water until tender. Drain and season with tomato sauce, cheese and butter. Place this mixture in lined baking dish or casserole. Be sure that the macaroni has enough sauce, but at the same time there should not be to much of it or the bottom and sides of crust will not be as crisp as they should be. Roll out rest of pastry and slash it in 2 to 3 places to allow steam to escape while baking. Cover casserole with it, flute edges and brush top with milk. Bake in 375 degree oven for 35 minutes or until crust is lightly golden. Serve it in wedges.
