Marmalade French Toast Casserole

List of Ingredients
- Butter softened
- Loaf Sourdough bread
- jar of orange marmelade
- 2 3/4 cup; milk or half and half
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmag
- 6 eggs
- 13 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of bread. Arrange , buttered side down, overlapping, in a single layer of a casserole. Spread marmalade evenly over bread. Top with remaining brread, butter side up.
- Combine mild and next 4 ingredients. Mix well with a whisk. Pour egg mixture over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Sprinkle nuts on top and bake for 45 minutes till golden. Let rest a few minutes before serving.
