    Marmalade French Toast Casserole

    List of Ingredients


    • Butter softened
    • Loaf Sourdough bread
    • jar of orange marmelade
    • 2 3/4 cup; milk or half and half
    • 1/4 cup sugar
    • 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1/2 teaspoon nutmag
    • 6 eggs
    • 13 cup chopped walnuts


    Instructions


    1. Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of bread. Arrange , buttered side down, overlapping, in a single layer of a casserole. Spread marmalade evenly over bread. Top with remaining brread, butter side up.
    2. Combine mild and next 4 ingredients. Mix well with a whisk. Pour egg mixture over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
    3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    4. Sprinkle nuts on top and bake for 45 minutes till golden. Let rest a few minutes before serving.
