Cherry Cake

List of Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons flour
- 4 eggs
- rind of 1 lemon, grated
- 1 16 ounce can sour red cherries, pitted
Instructions
- Place all ingredients except cherries in one bowl. Mix. Transfer to ungreased sheet pan. Add cherries to mix and space evenly. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 1/2 hour. Cool and dust with powdered sugar.
Final Comments
Hint: Place a shallow pan of water in the oven while the cake is baking. Then the heat will not rob the cake of moisture.
