    Creamy Pumpkin Pie

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups or 1 (#303) can pumpkin (not pie filling)
    • 2/3 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
    • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
    • 1/4 teaspoon cloves
    • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
    • 1 can (13 1/2 ounces) evaporated milk
    • 1/4 cup heavy cream


    Instructions


    1. Combine the pumpkin, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves and eggs. Mix well.
    2. Gradually stir in the evaporated milk and heavy cream.
    3. Stir until well blended. Gently ladle mixture into a chilled pie shell.
    4. Bake in a 450 degree F. oven for 10 minutes, then reduce the heat to 350 degrees F. and bake for 30 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.


    Final Comments


    Don't forget the whipped cream on top.
