This recipe has 2 parts, the cake and the filling.
Cake first
List of Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 pint sour cream
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
Instructions
- Cream sugar and butter. Add beaten egg., Add sifted dry ingredients, alternately wth sour cream. Add vanilla.
- Pour 1/3 batter in greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. Add half of filling. Cover with 1/3 more batter. Add second half of filling. Cover filling with remaining batter.
- Bake 1 hour 350 degrees F.
- Cool 15 minutes in pan then remove.
