Lillian Hellman's Pot Roast
This is the best pot roast recipe I have ever come across. I do not remember where I got it from, but it is yummy!
List of Ingredients
- 4 - 5 pound pot roast
- 1 (10 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 envelope onion soup mix
- 1 empty can of red wine
- 1 empty can of water
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon basil
Instructions
- Put pot roast in an ovenproof casserole.
- Combine all other ingredients.
- Pour all over meat.
- Cover tightly with foil.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 3 1/2 hours.
