Sweet and Sour Meatballs

List of Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3 tablespoons A1 steak sauce
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- salt to taste
- vegetable oil
- 1 (8 ounce) can pineapple chunks
- 1 cup sliced carrots
- 1 cup sliced celery
- 3/4 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons A1 steak sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 large green bell pepper, cut into strips
- Hot cooked rice
Instructions
- Combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, 3 tablespoons steak sauce, garlic and salt in a bowl and mix well. Shape into 1 inch balls. Brown in oil on all sides in a large skillet; drain.
- Stir in the pineapple, carrots, celery, broth, 2 tablespoons steak sauce, soy sauce, vinegar and ginger. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat. Simmer, covered, for 5 minutes.
- Dissolve the cornstarch in the water in a small bowl. Stir into the meatball mixture. Add the bell pepper. Simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes or until the vegetables are tender. Serve over rice.
