Quick Chicken and Rice

List of Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 chicken (3 pounds), cut into pieces
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 large can tomato sauce
- dried basil
- dried oregano
- salt and pepper
- 2 cups long grain white rice
- 4 cups water
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a Dutch oven and brown the chicken, onion, and garlic. Add the tomato sauce and basil, oregano, salt and pepper. Cook til chicken is tender.
- In a separate pot, cook the rice in the water according to package directions. Pour the chicken and sauce over the rice to serve.
