    List of Ingredients


    • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    • 1 chicken (3 pounds), cut into pieces
    • 1 onion, diced
    • 1 clove garlic, minced
    • 1 large can tomato sauce
    • dried basil
    • dried oregano
    • salt and pepper
    • 2 cups long grain white rice
    • 4 cups water


    Instructions


    1. Heat the oil in a Dutch oven and brown the chicken, onion, and garlic. Add the tomato sauce and basil, oregano, salt and pepper. Cook til chicken is tender.
    2. In a separate pot, cook the rice in the water according to package directions. Pour the chicken and sauce over the rice to serve.
