Turkey Frame Soup

Recipe Introduction
I have been making this soup for many winters. I usually make it after Thanksgiving with the turkey frame. I also use the chicken frame and make it with that.
List of Ingredients
- 1 turkey frame with meat
- 8 cups water
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 potatoes, diced
- 1-12 oz. can of corn
- 1/2 teaspoon sage
Instructions
- Put turkey in large pot. Add water, onion, salt, worcestershire sauce, sage, and bay leaf. Cover, simmer 1 1/2 hours.
- Remove frame and cut off meat and dice the meat.
- Return meat to soup. Add vegetables. Cover and simmer 45 longer. Remove bay leaf before serving.
Final Comments
Serves 8
Sometimes I add rice or noodles to the soup.
