Broccoli with Garlic

List of Ingredients
- 1 large bunch broccoli
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- several cloves garlic, chopped
Instructions
- Trim the end off a large bunch of broccoli. Cut off the main stem, peel it beneath the fibrous layer, and cut into bite-size chunks.
- Separate the head of broccoli into bite-size pieces. Wash the broccoli and place in a pot with 1/4 cup of cold water, 1 tablespoon olive oil, and several cloves of chopped garlic. Bring to boil, cover tightly, and let steam until the broccoli is bright green and crunchy-tender, no more than 5 minutes. Remove lid and boil off most of remaining liquid.
- Serve at once.
- You can mix this with cooked pasta, season it with red pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese or eat as is.
