Carrots and Figs

List of Ingredients
- 1 cup slivered almonds
- 4 teaspoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon grated orange peel
- 1 pound carrorts
- 1/2 cup dried figs, cut into fourths
- 1 tablespoon butter, softened
Instructions
- Cook almonds, sugar and orange peel over low heat, stirring constantly until sugar is melted and almonds are coated. Cool. Break almonds apart and reserve.
- Slice and cook carrots adding figs for the last few minutes of cooking. Mix all ingredients together.
Final Comments
Makes 4 servings.
