    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup slivered almonds
    • 4 teaspoons sugar
    • 1/2 teaspoon grated orange peel
    • 1 pound carrorts
    • 1/2 cup dried figs, cut into fourths
    • 1 tablespoon butter, softened


    Instructions


    1. Cook almonds, sugar and orange peel over low heat, stirring constantly until sugar is melted and almonds are coated. Cool. Break almonds apart and reserve.
    2. Slice and cook carrots adding figs for the last few minutes of cooking. Mix all ingredients together.


    Final Comments


    Makes 4 servings.
