List of Ingredients
2 cups dry pinto beans
1 Tbsp. Chili powder
1/8 tsp. Salt
1/2 lb. Extra-Lean ground beef, crumbled
Recipe
Soak the beans overnight. Then drain and rinse them. Place in pressure cooker. Add chili powder, salt and enough water to cover the beans.
In a skillet; brown the hamburger. You can add some nonfat broth to the ground hamburger to help to keep from sticking. Then drain the hamburger well. Place the hamburger in the pressure cooker. Cook on high with lid until pressure builds up to 15 pounds on medium heat. Then cook for 11 minutes. Then take off burner and wait until pressure has escaped enough to open the valve and remove the lid.
Makes 8 servings.
1 serving = 4 points.
Note: We like to steam some rice and put this on top of the rice.
