    • 2 cups berries, any kind or mixture
    • 2 tablespoons sugar
    • 2 tablespoons water
    • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
    • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 1 cup flour
    • 1 cup oatmeal
    • 2/3 cup brown sugar
    • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 1/2 cup butter or margerine, melted
    • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    2. Combine berries, sugar, water, lemon juice and cinnamon. Bring to a boil. Allow to cool, while bar base bakes.
    3. Stir flour, oatmeal, brown sugar, cinnamon and baking soda together.
    4. Work in melted butter or margerine to make a crumbly mixture. Set aside one cup of crumbly mixture for topping.
    5. Spread remaining crumbly mixture evenly in an ungreased 8 X 8 X2" baking pan. Press lightly. Bake for 20 minutes.
    6. Spread berry mixture over bar base. Sprinkle remaining crumbly mixture over the top of the berry layer.
    7. Bake for an additional 20 minutes.
