Candy Bar Cookies
From either Family Circle or Women's Day magazine. I haven't tried these yet, but they look like a winner.
List of Ingredients
- 1 cup margerine/butter, softened
- 1 cup creamy peanutbutter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 60 Snickers miniature candy bars, or 10 regular size candy bars, cut into one inch pieces
- Chocolate Glaze
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
- 1 tbsp. milk
Instructions
- In a large ixing bowl, beat together margerine/butter, peanutbtter, graunulated sugar and brown sugar until fluffy. Add egs and vanilla.
- Combine flour, baking powder and baking soda; add to peanutbutter mixture, beating until combined.
- For each cookie, shape a rounded tablespoon of dough around a piece of candy, forming a ball.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Cool on a rack.
- Drizzle with Chocolate Glaze.
- Chocolate Glaze: Combine powdered sugar and cocoa powder. Add milk. add additional milk, 1 teaspoon at a time, to make of drizzling consistency.
Final Comments
Makes about 60 cookies.
