    Golden Peanutbutter Brownies

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 1/4 cups unsifted flour
    • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
    • 2/3 cup butter, softened
    • 2/3 cup creamy peanutbutter
    • 1 1/4 cups sugar
    • 1 1/4 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
    • 1 measuring teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 3 eggs
    • 1 6-ounce package semi-sweet chocolate chips


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    2. In a small bowl, combine flour and baking powder; set aside.

    3. In a large bowl, combine butter, peanutbutter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract; beat until creamy.

    4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

    5. Gradually beat in flour mixture.

    6. Stir in chocolate chips.

    7. Spread evenly into well greased 15x10x1-inch baking pan.

    8. Bake 35 minutes.

    9. Remove from oven.

    10. Cool completely. Cut into two-inch squares.



    Final Comments


    If a frosing is desired, sprinkle top of brownies, when removed from oven, with 1 cup of chocolate chips. Let stand about 5 minutes, until chips become shiny and soft; then spread chocolate evenly over top of brownies.
