Janey's Peach dumpling

List of Ingredients
- 4 tablespoon butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 cup sliced peaches
- dash salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 cups boiling water
- Dumpling to follow:
- 1 1/2 cups sifted self-rising flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup milk
Instructions
- combine butter, sugar, peaches, salt, cinnamon, boiling water in deep pan - bring to boil reduce heat cooking for 5 minutes
- Blend self rising flour with sugar cut butter in; stir in milk enought to form a soft ball. stir only until mixture is blended
- Drop by spoonfuls into the sauce.
- Cook uncovered 5 minutes then cover and steam 15 to 20 minutes
