    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 lb blanced bacon, cooked slowly (or just 2 T bacon fat)
    • 1 cup chopped onion
    • 3/4 cup chopped celery
    • 2-3 diced carrots
    • 2 diced potatoes
    • 1 Tablespoon fresh basil
    • 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
    • 1 Tablespoon tomato paste
    • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
    • 4-5 diced zuchini or yellow crook neck squash
    • 1 cup chopped cabbage
    • 2 quarts chicken stock
    • 2 can cannelini beans
    • 1 Tablespoon parsley
    • 2 can peas
    • some boxed pasta
    • grated parmesan cheese


    Instructions


    1. Into bacon fat put onions, cook slowly. Stir in everything down the list through the stock.
    2. Later, when the above are done, but NOT MUSHY, add beans and on down the list. The pasta goes in last. The cheese goes on top as you serve. Add salt and pepper to taste; cooked bacon optional
