    My grandmother always made these cookies for the holidays. Four generations and still a family favorite!

    List of Ingredients




    4 cups flour
    6 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 stick of butter softened
    6 eggs
    4 Tbsp. anise liquor or extract
    1 tsp. vanilla

    Icing:
    1 cup confectioners sugar
    1 Tbsp. anisette liquor or extract
    Colored sprinkles

    Recipe



    Mix all of the above ingredients with an electric mixer. Let the dough stand for 20 minutes. Take 1 Tbsp. of dough and shape into an oval or round shape. Placed on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 350 degree oven until golden brown.

    Icing: Add anisette a little at a time to the confectioners sugar until it is the comsistency of frosting. Frost the top of each cookie and sprinkle colored sprinkles over the frosting right away. Enjoy!
