    This is a great take along dessert for any occasion.

    List of Ingredients




    1 cup finely chopped walnuts
    1 1/4 cups flour
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1 stick butter, softened
    1/2 cup flaked cocnut
    1 Tablespoon water

    FILLING:
    2 pkgs. cream cheeese, 8 oz. each, softened
    2/3 cup sugar
    2 eggs
    2 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 can cherry pie filling

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 350 degrees. Butter 3x9 inch baking pan and set aside.
    Crust: Combine the flour, brown sugar and butter. Process until it resembles fine crumbs. Then add 1/2 cup of the nuts and coconut. Mix till it forms a dough. Remove half and set aside. Press the remaining dough into bottom of your greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Edges should be browned.
    FILLING: Beat cream cheese, granulated sugar, eggs & vanilla until smooth. Spread the filling over the cooked crust. Return to the oven and bake 15 minutes more. Remove from oven.
    TOPPING: Spread the cherry pie filling over the chessecake layer. Combine the reserved crumbs with chopped nuts. Sprinkle evenly over the cherries. Return to oven and bake 15 minutes longer. Refrigerate. Enjoy!
