List of Ingredients
- 1 1/4 tsp yeast
- 2/3 cup water
- 1 1/2 tsp McNeil Nutritionals SPLENDA No Calorie Sweetener
- 1/4 tsp table salt
- 1 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 large egg(s)
- 1 1/2 tsp water
- 1 Tbsp kosher salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 435. Grease a large cookie sheet.
- Sprinkle yeast over warm water in large bowl, stir until dissolved.
- Stir in sugar & salt until dissolved.
- Gradually add flour w/ wooden spoon until stiff dough forms. (May have to add 1/4 cup more flour).
- Turn onto well-floured board. Knead until smooth, about 5-7 min.
- Divide dough into 6 equal pieces. If time permits, let dough rest about 5-10 min for easier shaping.
- Roll each dough piece into a 15" long rope. Shape each rope into a pretzel. Place on baking sheet.
- Beat together egg & water in small bowl, brush on pretzels. Sprinkle pretzels w/ coarse salt.
- Bake 15-25 min. or until golden brown.
