1 whole tenderloin, trimmed
black pepper
garlic powder
Sauce:
1 can beef consomme or 2 c. beef broth
few drops of Worcestershire sauceRecipe
Meat should be at room temperature. Rub with pepper and garlic powder. Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Roast meat in shallow pan at 5 minutes per pound. Turn oven off and do not open door. Leave tenderloin in oven for 2 hours. Meat will be ready to serve (medium rare).
Add sauce ingredients together with meat drippings and heat until hot. Serve with tenderloin.
