    Beef Kelaguen

    Source of Recipe

    from the south of guam

    Recipe Introduction

This is a favorite appetizer here on the island. Made with flanksteak preferrably, or any other lean beefsteak. Just to sit outside and relax while you kickback with the family and friends. Number #1 on the list!

    List of Ingredients

    • Flanksteak 1 1/2 lbs.
    • Lemon powder
    • salt
    • 1/2 of a medium onion
    • fresh hot pepper

    Instructions

    1. Make sure that the flanksteak is not quite defrosted. It helps to cut the pieces firmly. Cut like your making chopsteak.
    2. With a pot of boiling water, rinse beef and squeeze out all of the water.
    3. Mix lemon powder with about 1/4 cup of water. Pour into beef. Mix well.
    4. Add your salt to taste and also the hotpepper. Depending on how hot or salty you like it to be.
    5. Dice your onion and throw it in to the bowl. Let it sit for a few minutes so the lemon could work on the beef. The lemon actually cooks the beef. Now you have Beef Kelaguen. Enjoy.
