    Sweat and Sour Ribs

    Source of Recipe

    Bluesmom from SS board

    List of Ingredients

10 to 12 boneless pork country ribs
    two green peppers cubed
    one large sweet onion sliced
    salt and pepper the above

    Sauce:
two 8 oz cans of tomato sauce
    1/3 cup white vinagar
4 little scoops of somersweet (scooper in the cannister) and 4 packet of splenda add more if you like it a little sweeter

Add two tablespoons of sugar free ketchup. I used suzanne's but have used other brands.

Cover the ribs and cook all day. I throw this together before work.

Here is a key part. When you open the crock pot, drain the juice into a stock pot. I use a 3 quart pot. Boil the juice down to 1/3 third of it's original volume. This can take a half an hour. Remember it is the only "cooking" you have to do. Then cover the ribs with the thickened sauce. This also intensifies the flavor of the sauce.
