    List of Ingredients




    1/2 to 1 lb Bacon
    1/2 Cup Mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. Red Wine Vinegar
    1/4 Cup Finely Chopped Fresh Basil or 1/4 tsp. Dry Basil (more or less to taste)
    1 lb Romaine Lettuce, rinsed and cut
    1 Pint Cherry Tomatoes, quartered or 2 to 3 Roma Tomatoes, diced.
    Salt & Pepper to taste

    Place Bacon in a large deep skillet. Cook over med-high heat until brown & crispy, drain. Reserve 2 Tbsp. of the Bacon Drippings. Crumble Bacon & set aside. In a small bowl whisk together the Bacon Drippings, Mayo, Vinegar, Basil, Salt & Pepper. Let dressing stand covered at room temperature. Prepare the rest of your salad while the dressing sits. In a large bowl pour the dressing into the bottom and then add the Bacon, Lettuce, & Tomatoes. Toss thoroughly to coat.
