CUCUMBER PICKLES
List of Ingredients
1 gallon cucumber-sliced 1/8h thick
2green pepper- sliced
7medium onions-sliced
Ice water
1/2cup salt
1quart with vinegar
5cups sugar
1Tsp celery seeds
1Tbsp mustard seeds
1/3Tsp turmeric
Recipe
Soak cucumbers, peppers and onions in ice water with salt for 3hours. Bring the white vinegar and remaining ingredients to a boil.
Drain cucumbers and add to hot vinegar mixture. Bring to boil then seal in jars.
Yield about 11 quart jars of pickles.
