    CHOCOLATE COVERED CHERRIES'

    List of Ingredients




    3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
    1/3 cup butter
    1/3 cup corn syrup (white syrup)
    Mix together and let set over night. Wrap around maraschino cherries that have been drained and dried on a paper towel. Set wrapped cherries in the freezer for 1 hour.

    Chocolate:
    6 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate chips (I use Nestles)
    6 ounces of milk chocolate chips (Hershey's)
    3 tablespoons of paraffin wax, grated


    Recipe




    Melt all together in the microwave for 1 minute on high. Stir. Continue until chocolate mixture is completely melted. Dip frozen cherries in the chocolate and set on a cookie sheet covered with wax paper to dry. Refrigerate. Remove from wax paper and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

    I have tried other brands of chocolate chips, but the brands I mentioned melt better for this recipe. Plus, you don't want imitation when you go to all this work.
