    Fortune Tea Cookies

    List of Ingredients




    3 egg whites
    3/4 cup sugar
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup butter -- melted
    1/4 teaspoon vanilla
    1 cup flour -- sifted
    1 tablespoon instant tea powder
    2 tablespoons water
    4 dozen fortunes -- 2" X 1/2"


    Recipe



    Combine egg whites, sugar and salt. One at a time, stir in other ingredients. Chill at least 20 minutes.

    On greased cookiesheet, drop 1 teaspoon dough per cookie (only 2 at a time). With back of spoon, spread paper thin.

    Bake at 350º for about 5 minutes or until edges begin to brown. Remove, place fortune inside and shape.

    Cool in muffin tin (small) and store in air-tight container.
