    Broccoli-Cheese Soup

    List of Ingredients




    3 c. fresh broccoli, chopped
    1/4 c. finely chopped onion
    5 1/2 c. milk
    2 tbsp. butter
    1 tbsp. flour
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    2 c. grated Swiss cheese

    Recipe



    In a large saucepan, cook broccoli and onion in milk until tender. In small saucepan, melt butter. Stir in flour and heat til bubbly and smooth. Add cream of chicken soup. Stir until smooth. Add to milk mixture; mix well. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from heat. Gradually add cheese, stirring to melt. Serve hot. Makes 6 servings.
