FRIED CAULIFLOWER
List of Ingredients
1 head of cauliflower
1/2 tsp. white pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/8 tsp. of cayenne pepper (can add more if desired)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup bread crumbs
1 cup water
2 eggs
2 tbsp. flour
Wash and cut cauliflower into florets. Steam until crisp-done (3-5 min.). Allow to cool. Meanwhile, mix dry ingredients and set aside. Add eggs and 2 tbsp. flour to water and beat well.
Recipe
In deep skillet or wok, pour oil to about 2" deep. Heat to 370-380° degrees. While oil is being heated, dip up to around 1 doz. florets in egg/water mixture. Lastly, coat florets with flour/bread crumb mixture. Allow to set in dry mixture for minute or two before frying until golden brown and crisp (about 2 min.)After frying, drain excess oil on paper towel-lined plate. Enjoy!
