    Granny Bell's Home Kitchen

    Recipe Introduction

This is a great recipe for family Picnic's or Pot-Luck Dinner's. It is great served with Slaw and Baked Beans. it's always a winner with my family and friends.

    List of Ingredients

    • 2 - 5 pound boneless Sirloin Pork Roast's
    • 1/2 cup Granny's Butt Rub
    • 32 ounces KC Masterpiece Spicy Original BBQ Sauce
    • 3 teaspoons Liquid Smoke
    • Extra Virgin Olive Oil

    Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
    2. Line a large roasting pan with Aluminum foil. (I use a cast iron roasting pan.)
    3. Wash Pork Roast's in cool water and pat dry.
    4. Rub Pork Roast's with Olive Oil abd then rub both Roast's on all sides with the Butt Rub, being very generous. Drizzle with Liquid Smoke.
    5. Place both Roast's in heavy duty roasting pan and cover with lid or heavy duty foil.
    6. Place in preheated oven. Reduce heat to 275 degrees and cook for 8 hours.
    7. When meat is done, remove from oven and allow to cool enough to handle.
    8. Remove meat to a cutting board. Use two forks to pull the meat apart into bitesize pieces. (Do not throw away all of the fat. Leave some to mix in with the meat as this adds flavor.)
    9. Place pulled pork into a large crockpot and add a very thinly sliced red onion and BBQ sauce. Cover and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or until onion is done.
    10. Serve on Buns with Slaw and Kosher Pickles.

    Final Comments

You may use your favorite brand of BBQ Sauce or your own. This should serve about 15 to 20 people.
