People always ask for my recipe when I serve this. You can add a little sour cream and serve as a dip instead. I love this recipe because once you buy a bottle of liquid smoke it lasts forever and you probably have the rest of the stuff around so you could throw this together on the spur of the moment if you had to.
List of Ingredients
8 oz tub of cream cheese
1 teaspoon liquid smoke (we like to say liquid "schmoak")
1/4th teaspoon garlic salt
8oz shredded cheddar cheese
chopped pecans
Recipe
Mix the first three (mixer works great for this) then stir in the shredded cheese. Form a ball and roll in pecans.
