Chicken In The Pot

Recipe Introduction
Makes 4 servings
Enjoy this warming stew on a blustery evening for
a hearty, filling meal tht can be
prepared in under an hour.
List of Ingredients
3 cups low-sodium chicken brot
2 medium onions, cut into 8 wedges
2 medium carrots, cut into 1"pieces
2 medium celery stalks, cut in1" pieces
1 bay leaf
1 garlic clove, crushed
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
6 whole black peppercorns
Four 4 ounce chicken thighs, s
3 ounces wide egg noodles
1 cup cut green beans (1" piec
Recipe
1. In large pot or Dutch oven, combine broth, onions, carrots,
celery, bay leaf, garlic, tyhme, peppercorns, and 1 cup water;
bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer 20 minutes, until
vegetables are tender.
2. Add chicken; simmer 20 minutes, until chicken is cooked
through.
3. Add noodles and beans to chicken mixture; simmer, stirring
occasionally,, 5-7 minutes, until noodles are tender. Remove and
discard bay leaf and peppercorns. Divide evenly among 4 plates
and serve.
