    1 sheet puff pastry
    1/4 lb. bacon chopped fine
    l large yellow onion, sliced thin
    1 large red onion, sliced thin
    1 large leek, julienned
    4 cloves garlic, sliced thin
    1/4 C. heavy cream
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 T. fresh basil, cut in chiffonade

    Directions:
    Sauté bacon over medium heat until golden, add sliced onions and leeks cooking until onions are slightly caramelized. Cool completely and stir in heavy cream. Season with salt and pepper. Roll out puff pastry on floured surface and place on parchment lined baking sheet. Prick the dough all over with a docker or the tines of a fork. Spread topping over pastry crust all the way to the edge. Bake at 375 degrees until golden brown. Garnish with fresh basil and serve warm.
