    Cheddar Cheese Biscuits

    Recipe Introduction

    A great biscuit to serve with any egg dish for breakfast!

    List of Ingredients

    2 cups flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    6 tbsp. unsalted butter, cut into pieces
    2/3 cup finely shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
    3/4 cup milk

    Recipe

    Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Stir together flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and cream of tartar. Cut in butter until mixture resembles small peas. Stir in Cheddar cheese. Stir in milk. Turn dough onto a well floured surface. Gather into a ball. Knead about 12 times. Roll dough 1/2 inch thick. Cut out biscuits and place 1 inch apart on greased baking sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
