    Great bread for any holiday occasion!

    List of Ingredients




    2 cups all-purpose flour
    1 cup sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1 beaten egg
    1 cup dairy or canned eggnog
    1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled clightly
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. rum flavoring

    Grease the bottom and 1/2 inch up the sides of a 9x5x3 inch loaf pan; set aside. In a large bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Make a well in the center; set aside. In a medium bowl, combine egg, eggnog, butter, vanilla and rum flavoring. Add egg mixture all at once to flour mixture. Stir just until moistened. Batter should be slightly lumpy. Spoon batter into prepared pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack 10 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool completely. Wrap bread and store overnight before slicing.
