    We had these rolls similar to these in an Italian Restaurant in Palm Desert, CA.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/2 Tbsps. butter or stick margerine
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    • 1 (110oz.) can refrigerated French bread dough such as Pillsbury
    • 2 Tbsps. chopped fresh chives or green onions or basil
    • 2 Tbsps. grated Parmesan cheese
    • Cooking spray


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350*F.
    2. Melt butter or margerine in a small skillet over medium heat.
    3. Add minced garlic; saute 30 seconds or until lightly browned. Remove from heat; stir in garlic powder.
    4. Unroll the French bread dough onto a lightly floured surface; brush dough with garlic mixture. Sprinkle the dough with chives and cheese. Cut the dough crosswise into 12 strips. Shape each strip into a knot. Place the knots onto a baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350*F. for 17 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve warm.
    5. Makes 12 rolls.


    Final Comments


    These can be made a day ahead. Wrap them in foil, and reheat them in oven at 350*F. for 10 minutes.
